At Purple Dragon, swimming is more than just a safety skill — it’s a pathway to embodiment, confidence, and soul alignment.
Coach Ashaya-Charlotte learned to swim at an Olympic training center in Portland, Oregon, and grew up in a water-loving family. By five, she was waterskiing and leaping off docks into rivers. She’s been a Lifeguard, Aquatics Director, Swimming Instructor Trainer, Lifeguard Instructor — and yes, even a Professional Mermaid. 🧜♀️
With decades of experience, Ashaya brings a calm and intuitive presence to the water. She meets each child exactly where they are — whether they’re nervous or fearless — and gently guides them into deeper confidence through play, body awareness, breathwork, and energy-based techniques. Her teaching balances yin and yang: the thrill of diving in with joy, and the stillness of floating in peace.

Keiki Kids
Emotional Safety
A gentle, soulful swim experience for children with water fears, trauma, or unique neurodiverse needs.
Keiki Kids is a trauma-informed, heart-centered swim offering designed for children who feel overwhelmed in the water or have a complex relationship with it. Whether navigating intense fears, sensory sensitivities, or emotional resistance, Coach Ashaya gently meets each child where they are.
Through breathwork, body awareness, curiosity, and play, Ashaya helps each child re-pattern their connection to water — transforming fear into comfort and anxiety into ease. Her empathic, intuitive approach helps regulate the nervous system and invites the whole being — body, mind, and spirit — into a state of trust, safety, and peace.

Mermaids
All about Mermaid Classes and Birthday Parties
Mermaid Classes:
Are either hosted in a 30 minute series of 4 weeks (a workshop) or a one time 60-120 minute offering. We begin swimming with monofins, playing underwater games, and making underwater videos. We end with taking out of the water photos in my dry land (just for photography) tails.
Birthday Parties:
A mixture of a mermaid class experience, playing in the pool with your friends, (out of the water) art, children's yoga, and underwater photography, as desired. We begin by swimming in monofins and playing underwater games. We will ask the birthday Queen or King what they are most interested in, be that free playing, trying on the tails, mermaid art activities (like bubble art or face painting or mermaid dream catchers) children's yoga in the grass, jumping contests, etc. I like to give options to create reels with the underwater fins and simply swimming wild and free, as well as photography with the out of the water mermaid tails.
Price is $225 - pool not included - I will come to you! If you do not have access to a pool, let me know and I will attempt to help you find one.
Underwater Photography
I am beyond excited to take you on a magical journey. An experience of inner child illumination, soul integration, light codes and elementals, becoming a piece of art ... I am your girl. We will meet up at a body of water of choice, shoot for one to two hours, and within 30 days you will receive five electronic prints to share and print, both clear edits (left) and added AI/Photo Manipulation (right).
